Interview with Pastor Russ Holt – Harvest Sonora
Could you tell us a little about your ministry and your involvement in community causes?
Our ministry is dedicated to serving communities through spiritual guidance, practical support, and the promotion of hope and healing. We engage in local outreach and foster connections that uplift families and individuals in need. Our mission is to reach everyday people and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
What inspired you to support Amigos2Familia?
Joe is an old friend, and I’ve admired his ministry through social media for quite some time. I’ve always wanted to help financially or through mission trips, but I had never felt in a stable position to do so. A recent video José posted really spoke to my heart, and I felt the Holy Spirit guiding me that NOW was the moment. Also, we have people who are eager to go out and make a difference, and while we do this locally to some extent, it becomes a challenge. People want to support themselves through real mission trips.
Have you worked with similar programs before? If so, would you like to share any advice or experience?
We haven’t worked with anything similar.
If you have photos, logos, or other visual resources you’d like to share for our newsletter, we’d be very happy to include them. Even a cell phone picture works perfectly!
Is there a message or piece of advice you’d like to share to inspire others in our community?
Our message to the community is this: People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Small acts of kindness and consistent support can open the door to transforming lives. We encourage everyone to find a way to contribute—through prayer, volunteering, or giving—because collective compassion builds strong, hope-filled communities.
